FLAVOR LOG // 014

We are nearing the season 1 finale.  When we started building the Throwback collection, we weren't just looking for eight nostalgic flavors. We wanted eight experiences that belonged together. 

Sunday Pancakes. Candied Pecan. Jelly Donut. Grandma's Candy. I Love Rocky Road. Saturday Morning Cartoons. Oatmeal Cookie. Monkey Bread.

Different flavors. Different memories. But the same idea underneath them.

They were things. Not just flavors.

We weren't really asking people to choose between maple, pecan, raspberry, butterscotch, chocolate, cereal, oatmeal and cinnamon. We were putting eight recognizable experiences into coffee and letting each one take you somewhere different.

That was the point of Throwbacks.

These eight weren't just eight flavors we thought sounded good. They were intentional from the beginning. Our hope was that the connections were there, that the flavors felt like they belonged together, all while each one still stood on its own as a throwback to a familiar flavor memory.

And looking at all eight together, we believe it worked.
